Lakers get bad injury news on player who just returned
Los Angeles Lakers guard Gabe Vincent Gary A. Vasquez-USA TODAY Sports

The Los Angeles Lakers appear to have another Kendrick Nunn situation on their hands.

Shams Charania of The Athletic reported Saturday that Lakers guard Gabe Vincent is now strongly considering having surgery on his left knee. The procedure would come with a timetable of 6-to-8 weeks.

Vincent, 27, just returned to the lineup on Wednesday against the Chicago Bulls after missing over one-and-a-half months due to issues with his troublesome left knee. He played 14 minutes and scored three points in the Lakers' 124-108 defeat. Now, Charania adds, Vincent is experiencing swelling in the knee once again.

Overall, former Miami Heat guard Vincent has given the Lakers nothing since arriving as a free agent this summer. He was tasked with an important role off the bench for the Lakers at the start of the season but has appeared in just five of 29 games thus far (scoring a grand total of 27 points).

Vincent inked a three-year, $33 million contract with the Lakers over the offseason. As such, this whole thing is starting to look eerily similar to what happened with the last ex-Miami guard who played for the Lakers in Nunn.
